APA Wants To Use Electro-Shock Machines
on children under the age 13
The American Psychiatric Association (APA) is now lobbying the Federal Drug Association (FDA) to give electro-convulsive therapy to children under 13 years of age, stating in their letter to the FDA that it is:
“especially meaningful in children and adolescents….”
What is ELECTRO-CONVULSIVE THERAPY (ECT)?

ECT (electro-convulsive therapy) involves the application of two electrodes (from an electroshock machine) to the head to pass up to 460 volts of electricity through the brain with the goal of causing an intense seizure or convulsion. The process ALWAYS damages the brain, resulting each time in a temporary coma and often a flatlining of the brain waves, which is a sign of impending brain death.
After several routine ECTs, the damaged person becomes increasingly apathetic, indifferent, unable to feel genuine emotions, and even robotic. Memory loss and confusion worsen.
This helpless individual becomes unable to voice distress or complaints and becomes docile and manageable. ECT doctors mistakenly call this an improvement but it indicates severe and disabling brain injury.
To the right is an actual electro-shock procedure. They say it is effective. I think if you look at this you can establish for yourself, what this might do to the brain of a child.
Then the patient/child is usually given 2-3 treatments a week for 6 weeks!

Modern ECT is being promoted as “new and improved.”, but essentially it is not. It can make functional robots.
WE NEED TO STOP THE USE OF ELECTRO-CONVULSIVE THERAPY ON OUR CHILDREN YOUNGER THAN THE AGE OF 13
and leave the current restrictions placed by the FDA of no younger than 13 years of age.
California, Colorado, Tennessee and Texas have already
banned
the use of ECT on those ages 0-16.
